SIMPLE. RELIABLE. FLEXIBLE.

The Flextec 350X Multi Process MIG Welder power source is built specifically for construction job sites and most fabrication workshops. These machines are easy to set up and easy to operate, whilst being rugged and flexible enough to be used in construction, fabrication, shipbuilding, and other different types of heavy-duty welding applications. The Flextec 350X possess a streamlined operator panel, this is done to minimise setup from an easy process selection. The unit’s components are meticulously designed to run cool for an extended amount of time in high-temperature working environments. Lightweight and portable, the Flextec 350X is built on industry-proven design elements from other popular Lincoln Electric welding machines.

Features

  • Plug into any 380-600v 3 phase power
  • Fully encapsulated and environmentally protected electronics
  • Premium multi-process arc characteristics work with all DC wire, stick and TIG accessories
  • VRD Voltage Reduction Device - reduces open circuit voltage for increased safety
  • Capable of Arc Gouging with 3/16" (4.8mm) carbons

CrossLinc-Enabled Equipment

When welding on site or in large structures, work safety, productivity, and equipment reliability are incredibly important. In these environments, it is common for the operator to work closely with a rugged, compact, and lightweight wire feeder connected to a weather-resistant power source hundreds of feet away. Until now, portable wire feeders have been available in two configurations: basic ‘across-the-arc’ models or portable feeders equipped with an added control cable. The CrossLinc technology is here to solve site welding problems.

Lincoln Flextec FAQs

Straight answers to the questions people ask most when choosing and using a multi-process welding power source.

Is a power source on its own enough to start welding?icon-minus-redicon-plus-red

No. A power source supplies the welding current, but you also need the accessories for the process you want to use. For MIG that means a wire feeder, an interconnecting cable, a torch, a gas supply and regulator, and a work return lead.

For stick welding you need an electrode holder and work clamp, and for TIG a TIG torch, gas and regulator. Check that the accessories you choose are compatible with the machine's connectors and current rating.

Can I run it from a generator?icon-minus-redicon-plus-red

Often you can, but the generator must be large enough for the machine's input current, give a clean, stable output and match the supply type. A generator that is too small, or one with poor voltage regulation, can cause nuisance trips or even damage the machine.

The manufacturer will state the minimum generator size and any restrictions. Always follow those, and ask a competent person if you are unsure.

Which wire feeder should I pair it with?icon-minus-redicon-plus-red

Choose a feeder that suits the machine's control connection, the wire sizes and reel size you want to use, and the type of work. Portable suitcase-style feeders are easy to carry around a site, while bench or heavy-duty feeders suit workshop use.

Check the feeder's compatibility with the power source in the manual, and whether it supports flux-cored wire, solid wire or both. Our team can help you match a feeder to your power source.

How do I choose between MIG, stick and TIG on one machine?icon-minus-redicon-plus-red

MIG is quick and easy to learn and good for clean material. Stick is robust and copes with rust, paint, draughts and outdoor work, which is why it is popular for site repair. TIG gives the neatest, most precise welds on thin material and stainless steel but is slower and takes more skill.

The best process depends on the material, the position and the finish you need. The machine lets you switch as the job changes.
