Lincoln’s Sprinter T range offers power in a small package. Weighing in under 9kg, the Sprinter T is lightweight and portable, and the 180/200-amp output enables you to weld electrodes up to 4.0 mm, including 7018 and 6010. This machine combines superior stick capabilities with high-frequency TIG, pulsed TIG mode and dual input voltage (120V/230V). A simple display allows the operator to dial in the weld settings so that you can get started quickly and easily on any job, anywhere – maintenance work, light fabrication, light structural, and everything in between. The Sprinter T is a TIG and STICK welder and so much more.

  • DUAL INPUT VOLTAGE – 120V and 230V, enabling you to plug into any common power supply.
  • PULSED TIG MODE – Provides heat management and enhanced control when making thin, precise welds.
  • HIGH FREQUENCY START – Strike a precise arc every time while TIG welding.
  • HOT START – This is a temporary increase in the initial welding current to help ignite the arc quickly and reliably.
  • ARC FORCE – helps to increase penetration and prevent electrodes from sticking.
  • MULTI-PROCESS CAPABLE – Welds DC stick, DC Lift TIG and DC TIG HF mode.
  • LIGHTWEIGHT PORTABILITY – weighing under 9 kg, this durable machine is easy to carry with either the ergonomic handle or the shoulder strap.
  • TWO STICK MODES – Dedicated E6010 and E7018 weld modes allow for greater welding versatility and superior performance.
  • PFC – Resistant to power fluctuations, even while working on long extension cables up to 100m, without affecting welding capability and quality.

110v TIG Welders FAQs

Straight answers to the questions people ask most when choosing and using TIG welders for 110 volt site supplies.

What does a multi-voltage machine do?icon-minus-redicon-plus-red

A multi-voltage machine senses the supply and adjusts to suit, so the same welder can run from 110 volts and 230 volts, and sometimes other ranges. This gives flexibility if you move between site and workshop.

Remember that the output you get depends on the supply it is connected to, and that the plug and fuse or breaker must match. Always check the manual for the maximum current at each voltage.

Can I run a 110v TIG welder from a generator?icon-minus-redicon-plus-red

Often yes, if the generator is large enough and produces a clean, stable output. Inverter welders can be sensitive to poor quality power, so check the generator's output rating, waveform and regulation against the welder's requirements.

A generator that is too small will cause cutting out or damage. The welder manufacturer's guidance on generator size and type is the best guide, and a 110 volt transformer or centre-tapped output is often used on site. If unsure, ask before connecting.

Why is my machine cutting out or tripping?icon-minus-redicon-plus-red

On a 110 volt supply, the current drawn is high, so supply and cable problems show up quickly. Common causes are an undersized or very long extension cable, an overloaded supply or transformer, a tripping breaker rated too low, or too many tools on the same circuit.

Use the shortest, heaviest extension lead that is suitable, make sure the supply can provide the needed current, and run the welder at a current the supply can sustain. If the machine has a thermal protection light, allow it to cool.

Do I need a special extension cable?icon-minus-redicon-plus-red

Yes, use a cable properly rated for the current the welder draws, and keep it as short as practical. A thin or very long cable drops voltage, which reduces welding power and can make the machine cut out. Extension reels should be fully unwound, since coiled cable can overheat.

Use site-approved 110 volt cable and connectors in good condition. Check the manual for the recommended cable size, and have any doubtful equipment inspected before use.
