The digital multifunctional welder inverter PATON MultiPRO 200 15-4 230V is intended for semi-automatic welding with the MIG/MAG method, manual arc welding with the MMA method, and arc welding with the TIG HF method in a shield of gases and protective mixtures with direct current. These machines operate from a 230V single-phase power supply and have an IP33 protection rating.
An additional advantage is the CLEAN mode, which offers cleaning of stainless-steel parts and their weld seams from oxides and heat tint, as well as surface polishing to restore its aesthetic appearance and corrosion resistance properties. To operate in CLEAN mode, it is necessary to additionally purchase a special electrolytic liquid for the passivation of high-alloy steels and a PATON TIG brush. Without these accessories, cleaning and polishing of stainless steel using this function is not possible.

Straight answers to the questions people ask most when choosing and using a 230 volt single phase arc welder.
Single phase supplies limit how much current a welder can draw, so the top-end output of 230 volt machines is lower than three phase equipment. Within that limit, a good inverter can handle a wide range of electrode sizes, from fine work to fairly heavy repair welding. For heavy plate, long continuous welding or large diameter electrodes, a three phase machine is the better fit. Check the maker's output and duty cycle figures at the current you actually plan to use.
Think about the thickest metal and the largest electrode you expect to use regularly, then choose a machine that provides that current comfortably within its duty cycle, not at its limit.A machine with some spare capacity runs cooler and lasts longer. As a rough guide, small portable units handle light fabrication and repairs, and larger single phase machines cope with thicker steel and bigger electrodes, but exact limits vary between models.
Transformer welders use a heavy iron and copper transformer to reduce the voltage. They are robust and simple, but they are heavy and usually draw more current from the supply for the same output.Inverter welders convert the supply electronically before reducing it, which makes them noticeably lighter and smaller, and usually gives a smoother, more controllable arc. Most current 230 volt welders are inverters. The exact weight and energy saving vary from machine to machine, so compare the weight and input current on the data plate and in the manual for the machines you are considering.
Sometimes, but not every welder suits every generator. The generator must supply the welder's input current continuously, with a margin, and give a clean, stable voltage. A generator that is too small or poor quality can cause cut-outs, an unstable arc and damage to the welder's electronics.Size the generator from the welder's input power, not its welding output, and check the welder's manual and data plate for any generator guidance. If the manual does not say the machine is suitable for generator use, ask the maker before connecting it.
