Advanced features, delivered simply.

The Rogue ET 230iP AC/DC is a portable, high quality, professional AC/DC TIG welder with extended parameter options to excel at everyday aluminium, stainless steel and carbon steel welding.

  • Various AC/DC waveforms (square, soft square, sinusoidal, triangle) for optimal energy transfer
  • TIG AC and DC pulse up to 200 Hz for increased control of heat input and weld pool.
  • Built-in PFC circuit ensures a stable arc, even with extra-long input cables, up to 100 m
  • High visibility intuitive 5-inch colour screen interface reduces downtime and improves accuracy
  • Dual-current mode switches between two output current levels to control the heat input and the size of the weld pool
  • Easy access to saved jobs by torch trigger
  • Modular system with tool-less connection to trolley
  • Exeor TIG torch included

An intuitive graphical user interface with a 5-inch colour display brings new functionality for quick and easy adjustments. The machine can tackle a wide range of thicknesses, including very thin plates.

Customisable waveshapes (square, soft square, sinusoidal, triangle) enable optimised heat input for high penetration on thicker metals and low distortion on thin sheets. Pulsing capabilities in both DC and AC TIG offer enhanced weld puddle control, allowing the welder to tailor the arc further for multiple applications.

TIG arc starts are crafted based on selected tungsten electrode diameter and type for optimum performance. Durable housing design combines robustness and functionality with multiple lift points for easy manoeuvrability in workshop and field applications.

110v TIG Welders FAQs

Straight answers to the questions people ask most when choosing and using TIG welders for 110 volt site supplies.

Why would I choose a 110v TIG welder?icon-minus-redicon-plus-red

On many UK building sites, shipyards and industrial locations, 110 volt supplies from a centre-tapped transformer or generator are the preferred or specified way to power portable equipment, because they reduce the risk of electric shock in damp or rough conditions. A TIG welder made to run on 110 volts lets you work to those site rules without extra equipment.

Many of these machines are portable inverters, light enough to carry. Some are multi-voltage machines that also run from 230 volts, which gives flexibility between site and workshop. Always check your site rules and the machine's data plate.

How much can I weld on a 110v supply?icon-minus-redicon-plus-red

A 110 volt supply can supply less power than 230 volts for the same plug and fuse size, so the maximum welding current is lower than on the same machine at 230 volts. That still suits thin and medium material, pipework and many repair jobs.

Check the rated output at 110 volts on the data plate or specification, not the headline figure for 230 volts. Thicker material, or long runs at high current, may need a higher supply or a bigger machine.

Can I run a 110v TIG welder from a generator?icon-minus-redicon-plus-red

Often yes, if the generator is large enough and produces a clean, stable output. Inverter welders can be sensitive to poor quality power, so check the generator's output rating, waveform and regulation against the welder's requirements.

A generator that is too small will cause cutting out or damage. The welder manufacturer's guidance on generator size and type is the best guide, and a 110 volt transformer or centre-tapped output is often used on site. If unsure, ask before connecting.

Do I need a special extension cable?icon-minus-redicon-plus-red

Yes, use a cable properly rated for the current the welder draws, and keep it as short as practical. A thin or very long cable drops voltage, which reduces welding power and can make the machine cut out. Extension reels should be fully unwound, since coiled cable can overheat.

Use site-approved 110 volt cable and connectors in good condition. Check the manual for the recommended cable size, and have any doubtful equipment inspected before use.
