Many accessories are made for a particular model or size of power source, such as dust covers, wheel kits, filter kits and cables. Check the model on your cutter's data plate and compare it with the compatibility stated for the accessory.Generic items such as face shields and gloves usually suit any cutter, but cutting guides depend on the torch type and head. A filter kit sits on the air line close to the plasma cutter and removes moisture, oil and fine particles before they reach the torch. Wet or dirty air makes the arc unstable and shortens consumable life.It is especially useful when the air comes from a long hose, an older compressor or a damp workshop. Check and drain it regularly and replace the element according to the maker's instructions.
