The Miller Syncrowave 300 provides up to 300 amps of DC TIG and MMA welding output along with a smooth, stable arc. Advanced technologies, such as Pulse, reduce heat input, increase travel speeds, and improve arc directional control. Auto-Link technology allows the machine to be connected automatically to any main voltage within the specified range. The Miller Syncrowave 300 addresses demands for precision fabrication, adding extended Pulse ranges for maximum DC capability. Exclusive Pro-Set technology eliminates guesswork by providing pre-set welding parameters. Designed for upgrade flexibility, a memory card port allows owners to download additional software when released, purchase product features from the Miller website and maximise their budgets by buying only the features they need.

    Features

    • Auto-Link circuit automatically links the power source to the primary voltage being applied (208/240/480 V, three - or single-phase).
    • Simple & Easy to Install accept either single - or three-phase input power.
    • Internal Cooler Power Supply runs the Coolmate S3 off the input power and requires no additional hook-up.
    • Small footprint & Lightweight Design makes it easier to install and move around the workshop.
    • Easy to Use intuitive user interface is simple to understand, making it easy to adjust parameters and thus, less time training new employees and more time getting the work done.
    • Pro-Set Button gets to factory pre-set parameters with one touch of a button.
    • Energy Efficient & Better Stability more stable arc and improved arc starts. Also, save up to 33% on energy costs against outdated welding equipment.

    415v TIG Welders FAQs

Straight answers to the questions people ask most when choosing and using three phase TIG welders.

Why choose a three phase TIG welder?icon-minus-redicon-plus-red

Three phase machines are designed for industrial use, where a three phase supply is installed. The supply can provide far more power than a single phase socket, so these machines provide higher welding currents, heavier duty cycles and the ability to weld thick sections, especially aluminium, all day.

They are the usual choice for fabrication shops, pipe welding, heavy repair and production work, where reliability and capacity matter more than portability.

    What is the supply requirement?icon-minus-redicon-plus-red

A three phase machine needs a suitable three phase supply with the correct voltage and protection. The data plate and manual specify the voltage range, input current and fuse or breaker size. Many machines accept a range of three phase voltages.

Have the installation, cable and isolator fitted and checked by a competent electrician. Do not use adaptors or improvised connections, and make sure the supply capacity suits the full welding output.

How do I choose the output rating?icon-minus-redicon-plus-red

Consider the thickest material and the metal. Aluminium needs more current than steel for the same thickness. Choose a machine with a maximum current comfortably above what you will need regularly, since this gives a better duty cycle, a cooler running machine and headroom for heavier jobs.

Also consider the lowest current. A machine with a low, stable minimum current suits thin material and precise work. A wide range between minimum and maximum makes the machine more versatile.

AC/DC or DC only: which do I need?icon-minus-redicon-plus-red

A DC machine welds steel, stainless steel, copper and many other metals, but not aluminium or magnesium. An AC/DC machine adds AC output, which cleans the oxide layer on aluminium and magnesium so they can be welded properly.

If you will ever weld aluminium, choose AC/DC. Look for adjustable AC balance and frequency, which let you tune the cleaning action and the arc focus.
