The robust and reliable BlueFab series of products is the perfect combination of industrial performance and simplicity. With energy efficiency enabled by the latest inverter technology, the system offers significant cost savings compared to traditional welding equipment.
Easy to operate.
Why compromise? – Welders appreciate simplicity and easy access to the parameters that matter. At the same time, finer adjustments may be needed to achieve the highest-quality welds. The BlueFab offers the perfect combination of pre-set values and synergic programs with a clean and crisp user interface.
Mobility and portability.
The BlueFab wire feeder, equipped with an industrial-grade 4-wheel drive mechanism, is both compact and lightweight. The connections are protected and covered to ensure reliability and reduce downtime. The metal casing can take a beating and survive the toughest work environment.
Direct access to stored programs.
The operator has access to four pre-programmed or customised programs from the front panel of the wire feeder. The trigger-select functionality improves productivity by allowing different programs to be selected from the torch trigger – no need to go back to the wire feeder.
Prepared with synergic programs.
Miller has prepared and equipped the BlueFab with multiple synergic lines for the most common material, wire, and gas combinations. The Wire feed speed can be presented as metres per minute or as a predicted amperage value.
Multi-Process capabilities.
Full MMA and LiftTIG capability can be accessed from the front panel of the power source.
Flexibility.
The running gear with the integrated gas bottle shelf comes with the power source. The optional water cooler can be easily installed; no service technician is required. The wire feeder can be easily removed from the power source, and the optional wheel kit can be attached at all times.
Straight answers to the questions people ask most when choosing a three-phase MIG welder for workshop and production use.
In practice, very little. Older documents and some machine labels refer to 415v, while the current nominal figure for a UK three-phase supply is usually given as 400v. Machines are normally designed to work within a tolerance either side of their rated input, but the allowed range depends on the maker and the model.Check the data plate and the manual for the supply the machine accepts, compare that with the measured supply at your site, and ask a qualified electrician if you are unsure.
Air-cooled torches are simpler and need no extra equipment, and suit many general jobs. Water-cooled torches carry higher current for longer without overheating, so they suit heavy, continuous or production welding, but they need a cooler and a little more upkeep.Choose according to the current and the duty cycle you will use.
Duty cycle is the proportion of a ten-minute period the machine can weld at a given current before it must cool. A higher duty cycle at your working current means fewer interruptions on long welds. If you weld continuously at high current, look at the rating at that current rather than the headline maximum.
A compact machine has the wire feeder built into the power source and is simpler and easier to move. A separate (split) system has an independent wire feeder connected by an interconnecting cable, which you can carry to the work, away from the power source.Separate feeders suit large fabrications and reaching big workpieces, and compact units suit general workshop use.
